It’s My Park Day 2016!

Hello, Volunteers! Mountain View Park is joining the Austin Parks Foundation for its biggest city-wide volunteer event on Saturday, March 5th – It’s My Park Day 2016!  Come to  Mountain View Park 9000 Middlebie Dr. 78750 March 5, 2016 anytime between 8am and 2pm. We will plant seven trees that died and paint the park bathroom doors.

We need 50 volunteers and so far only 11 have signed up on the website.

Please bring shovels and wheelbarrows if you can that are marked with your name. We will provide gloves.

Each year, thousands of volunteers work to improve parks and greenbelts throughout Austin with IMPD.

Remember, anyone wanting to volunteer will need to sign up through the IMPD 2016 website.  Copy this website into your browser.

Order your Holiday Trees by November 19!

Each year, Mountain neighbors help transform the community into a twinkling wonderland with lighted trees in front yards that we’ve specially arranged in partnership with a local youth group. It’s a longtime neighborhood tradition, and it’s time to order trees for this year!

Trees are 5- to 6-foot Fraser firs. Trees are $40 each for non-members, $24 for members. It’s not too late to apply for membership and get the discount price! The trees will be delivered to your home on Saturday, December 6th.

To purchase trees, use our convenient online form or download the paper form (attached). The online form is also used for membership, so please select the appropriate items before checking out.

2014/2015 MNA Membership

Please update your information and complete your 2014-2015 membership at

http://mountainneighborhood.com/membership/register.php

Annual membership in the MNA is $50 (many homeowner associations have monthly fees that high). Optionally, you can also order Holiday Trees for $24 (members) or $40 (non-members).

Your MNA membership supports the upkeep of our common areas (entrance maintainance), MNA social events, and other capital improvements projects in the neighborhood. Last year, we replanted around the entrance sign, installed drip irrigation to conserve water, and installed solar-powered lighting on our entrance sign. These projects are supported by membership dues and the work of the volunteers throughout the neighborhood.

By becoming a member, you have the option to be included in our neighborhood directory, which can be accessed online, and will be included in the MNA member mailing list to notify you of upcoming events and issues in the neighborhood.

2014 Annual MNA Picnic – Saturday, Sept. 27 – 4pm-7pm

The Annual MNA Picnic will be held on Saturday, September 27th from 4pm-7pm at Mountainview Park.

This is a great opportunity to meet other families in the neighborhood while enjoying music performed by the Paper Moon Shiners ( http://www.papermoonshiners.com). Snow-cones/shaved-ice will be provided for everyone and 2014/2015 members may also RSVP for a taco-bar style dinner at http://www.evite.com/l/Awau9hHfZg.
