Neighborhood Impact of the Proposed Jollyville Water Transmission Main

The City of Austin has proposed construction of a water transmission main at the corner of Old Lampasas Trail and Spicewood Springs Road as part of its plan to build Water Treatment Plant #4. The construction of an open shaft at this location will impact all residents with additional construction traffic and noise, so it is important that we are informed on this issue, find out how this will affect us, and make sure that our concerns are addressed.

MNA Board Meeting – Tuesday, March 30th, 2009 @ 7:30pm

The next MNA board meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 30th at 7:30pm at the Spicewood Springs Library meeting room. The Agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Disposing of Your Tree

Per the City of Austin Website: Christmas tree recycling couldn’t be any easier! Simply remove the stand and ornaments and place your tree at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on the same day your yard waste and garbage is collected. Do not place your tree in a tree bag. If your tree is more than 6 feet tall, please cut it in half.

Streetlight Committee Meeting ####Historical information from 2009####

The streetlight committee met again on 11/15. In addition to the ballot, it is the committee's intent to provide a one page fact sheet of pro-lights research and a one page fact sheet of con-lights research. If you have research information, studies, websites, etc. that can be forwarded to our research coordinators please email them so they can review the research and formulate their fact sheet. Pro-light research can be submitted to Gail Alfar. Con-light research can be submitted to Stephanie Methven (until a con-light research volunteer is found) The next meeting will be on 12/1 at 8 pm at 8806 Scotsman Drive. Please RSVP to Stephanie Methven.
